plore it, I do love yon, and my heart is almostbreaking as I think of mother; but—here his voice tremble**, but he masteredhis emotion and proceeded—there areoccasions where ones duty so country risesabove every other motive. I cannot be a traitor! The girl he loved understood him. Sheno longer strove to move his resolution. but told him how she loved and honoredhim the more. Still another temtation came on the lastday of Ddvis life. The young captain whohad become his friend was ordered to su-perintend his execution. Tbey stood to-gether on the scaffold, while the ignomin-ious noose was placed round the prisonersneck. Once more the captain, in a voicechoked by emotion, begged Davis to savehimself. The doomed man hung his head, and his lips moved in silent prayer. Thenhe stood erect, and answered: If I had a thousand lives I would losethem all before I would etray my friendsor the confidence of my informer. The lever was pulled, and Davis died anhonorable man.—Youths Companion.

Yes paid surveys can help but they won’t pay all the bills and it does take time and consistency to make a decent amount.
There are also a few secrets you need to know. Well they aren’t really secrets, mostly tips. You have probably seen many different websites saying how you can make hundreds of dollars an hour taking surveys which is why you are here. This isn’t quite the case. You can make a couple of hundred dollars for a couple of hours of time and this happens more often than you think but you will not make that kind of money every single day or even every month.
When you first sign up with a survey company you will fill out your profile. This is the information the company will use to match your demographics with a particular survey. In other words if you don’t have children they don’t want to waste your time and theirs by having you fill out a survey about children’s cough syrup.
Some companies will also offer additional profiles. It is important to take the time to fill these out. A lot of the paid survey companies won’t send you any screeners if you don’t have your profiles filled out.
Once they have you on record they will generally send you an email when they have a survey that might fit your demographics. The email will direct you to a screener. Most of the time the screeners will not offer you a paid stipend, but the chance to be entered in a drawing. A lot of people delete these emails because they only want to be paid for their time. They don’t want to be entered into a drawing. What they don’t realize is that the screener is what will get you into the study. If you don’t take the screeners you will never have the chance to be offered payment or a product test for your time. There are only a couple of survey companies that always offer money even for the screeners and those companies sometimes have screeners that don’t offer money upfront as well.
Another thing to consider is that for the first few months you will get a few screeners and probably not qualify for the actual studies. If you keep at it you will start seeing more and more product tests and paid offers. This is one of the biggest keys. The survey companies want to know that you are serious and not someone just trying to make money. They need your help with all of the surveys. Show them you mean business and they will reward you with more and more offers.
Sign up with as many companies as you can. If you only sign up with one or two survey companies to try it out, you will quickly be disappointed. Some companies send out surveys everyday, other survey companies only send them out once or twice a month and some only once a year. If you are signed up with them you will have a better chance of getting a paid survey at least a few times a week.
Use a good survey list. Most of the lists that you pay for and most of the free ones include survey sites that aren’t really survey companies at all. They are places that want you to complete “offers”, they make themselves look like legitimate survey companies but they are basically going to send you a lot of spam. Join a community where you can keep up to date. The members know a lot about taking surveys and you can find out which companies are causing people headaches and which ones are great.
There is a very nice community at http://itsfree.proboards.com Most of all, take surveys to help shape the market and have fun.
